The Roundtable on Sustainable Palm Oil was created in 2004 to promote responsibly sourced palm oil. RSPO certified sustainable palm oil is grown and certified against the 8 RSPO principles and criteria relating to social, environmental and economic practises.


The Forest Stewardship Council (FSC) logo promotes environmentally friendly, socially responsible and economically sustainable forestry. FSC-certified products contribute towards the responsible management of global forest resources.


The recycling symbol enables recyclers to tell the different types of plastic apart when sorting; the numbers indicate the grade of plastic. Each number represents a type of plastic such as; 1- PETE, 2- HDPE 3- PVC, whether it can be recycled and how. Generally numbers 1 and 2 can be placed in your recycling bin, however the other resin numbers may vary depending on location and council.


TPost-Consumer Resin is the recycled product of waste created by consumers. Plastic materials go through a proprietary process to produce plastic resin pellets, which are then turned into resin. The tube of the Phytomer and Tara Smith Collections are made from 40% post-consumer resins.


BDA - is a biodegradable additive that is added to packaging to help speed up the biodegrading process.


Green Dot is a license symbol showing if the producer of packaging has made a financial contribution towards the recycling of packaging in Europe. Gilchrist & Soames, the luxury division of Guest Supply is a member of the Green Dot promoting environmentally sound recycling and waste management solutions in Europe.


Internationally recognised, the Leaping Bunny certification signifies that products and formulations are not tested on animals and are cruelty-free. You will find the Leaping Bunny logo on many Gilchrist & Soames house brands as well as Tara Smith our vegan brand.
